An official Health Canada notice concerns New flyer. Issue: On a small number of buses, there is an error in the 9th digit of the vehicle identification number (VIN). As a result, the bus cannot be properly identified using the VIN. Canadian regulations provide a format the VIN number that must be followed. Safety Risk: This error could cause confusion when trying to identify the bus using the VIN. Corrective Actions: New Flyer will notify the owner by email and provide them with a replacement VIN placard. A New Flyer representative will replace the placard on each affected bus.
