An official Health Canada notice concerns Spartan. Certain fire trucks fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101 - Location and Identification of Controls and Displays, as well as CMVSS 121 - Air Brake System. Various Instrument panel warning lamps may not function as intended (ABS, high beam, brake lights). Failure of the fault warning lamps to indicate brake light or ABS failure could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the control panel.
