An official Health Canada notice concerns Spartan fire. Issue: on certain fire trucks, the ladder lock handle may not have been assembled properly. As a result, the handle could become loose and detach from the ladder lock. If this happens, the ladder(s) could fall from the vehicle. Safety risk: a ladder that falls from a vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: spartan fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the ladder lock handle.
