An official Health Canada notice concerns Prevost. Issue: On certain buses, the power cable for the intake air heater relay may not have been connected properly. As a result, the cable and/or relay could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring or a relay that overheats could create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to tighten the intake air heater relay nut. Prevost will also inspect and, if necessary, replace any damaged components. Published 2023-11-17.
