An official Health Canada notice concerns Prevost. Issue: on certain buses, the recall repairs completed by a prevost service center during recall sr24-33 (transport canada recall no. 2024-521) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second inspection and/or repair is required. On certain buses, the passenger seat belts may not extend from the retracted position. If this happens, the seat belts can't be used. Safety risk: not wearing a seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective actions: prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a prevost service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the passenger seat belts.
