An official Health Canada notice concerns Lucid motors, inc.. Issue: on certain vehicles, the inverter for the drive unit could fail and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Note: this recall only affects certain air pure rear-wheel drive models. Safety risk: a sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: lucid will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle to install an advanced diagnostic software that will monitor the inverter and warn you if it detects a problem. If you see this warning, you should contact a lucid service center or lucid customer care to arrange for the replacement of the inverter, as necessary. Published 2026-05-25.
