An official Health Canada notice concerns Lucid motors, inc.. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the bolts securing the axle shafts to the drive unit may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the axle shaft(s) could separate from the drive unit and cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects certain Air Pure rear-wheel drive models. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lucid will notify owners by email and advise you to contact a Lucid Service Center or Lucid Customer Care to schedule an appointment to inspect and, if necessary, replace the axle shaft bolts.
