An official Health Canada notice concerns Lucid motors, inc.. Issue: on certain vehicles, the bolts securing the axle shafts to the drive unit may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the axle shaft(s) could separate from the drive unit and cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Note: this recall is an expansion of transport canada recall no. 2025-535. This recall only affects certain air pure rear-wheel drive models. Safety risk: a loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: lucid will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a lucid service center or lucid customer care to schedule an appointment to replace the axle shaft bolts.
