An official Health Canada notice concerns Lucid motors, inc.. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to be delayed or not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lucid will notify owners by email. Lucid has sent a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. If you haven't yet accepted the software update, Lucid encourages you to do so. If you need assistance with this update, you should contact Lucid customer care or a Lucid service center. There is no further action needed if your vehicle has software version 2.8.0 or a later release. Published 2025-10-17.
