An official Health Canada notice concerns Audi - Volkswagen. Certain vehicles may not comply with Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations. The tire certification label may bear incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) information. The label incorrectly states "520 kg" (1146 lbs) instead of the correct "450 kg" (992 lbs). If an owner were to rely on the incorrect values, it could lead to premature tire failure and vehicle overloading, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply a revised certification label with the correct values. Published 2018-02-16.
