An official Health Canada notice concerns Audi - Volkswagen. Issue: on certain vehicles, the brake booster input rod may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the input rod could detach from the brake booster and cause a loss of brakes. Note: this recall is an expansion of transport canada recall no. 2024-670. For 2020-2024 model years, this recall affects both sportback and suv models. Safety risk: a loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the brake booster input rod screw joint.
