An official NHTSA notice concerns Ford - Automatic transmission may not shift into park. A loss of park function can allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Published 2025-10-24.
What to do now
On vehicles with 8,000 miles or less, dealers will inspect the transmission for the t10 transmission bearing and replace the transmission if necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed november 6, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25sb3.
