An official Health Canada notice concerns Volvo trucks. Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210 – Seatbelt Assembly Anchorages. The weld used to secure the nut to the center-passenger seatbelt D-ring mounting bracket may not be sufficient to meet the strength requirements of the Standard. Failure of the seatbelt D-ring anchorage to restrain the occupant would increase the risk of personal injury during a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the D-ring for the middle seating position. Published 2013-04-17.
