An official Health Canada notice concerns Stryker harmonic focus shears + adaptive tissue technology (reprocessed). Stryker has received an increase in complaints for HAR9F continuous activation due to the min button becoming stuck in the on position. Stryker has investigated and identified the manufacturing issue which contributed to the continuous activation noted with these devices. As of August 31, 2025, device failures related to this issue represent 0.16% of distributed devices; however, there have been no reported serious injuries. Published 2025-09-26.
