An official Health Canada notice concerns Nova bus. Issue: on certain transit buses, the driver's seat belt tension-relieving device may not have been installed properly. As a result, the seat belt may not work properly in a crash, and the buses may not meet certain requirements of canadian regulations. Safety risk: a seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective actions: to reduce the safety risk, nova bus recommends not to use the seat belt tension-relieving device until the recall repairs have been completed.
