An official Health Canada notice concerns Nova bus. On certain buses equipped with Recaro AM72 or AM80 driver seats with Adient seat belts, the latch assembly of the driver’s seat belt may be defective, which would result in the seat belt tongue not being able to be inserted into the latch assembly. In the event of a crash, an unlatched seat belt may increase the risk of injury to the driver. Correction: Owners will be contacted by Nova Bus and supplied with the inspection and repair instructions. Replacement driver seat belts and hardware will be provided by Nova Bus as required.
