An official Health Canada notice concerns Newmar. On certain motorhomes, the exhaust flex tube may be misaligned which could cause it to tear. If this occurs, hot exhaust gas could blow against other components or materials increasing the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: A Spartan Motors authorized dealer will inspect and correct the flex tube alignment or replace the exhaust tube as necessary. Published 2024-04-15.

The hazard

On certain motorhomes, the exhaust flex tube may be misaligned which could cause it to tear. If this occurs, hot exhaust gas could blow against other components or materials increasing the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: A Spartan Motors authorized dealer will inspect and correct the flex tube alignment or replace the exhaust tube as necessary.
