An official Health Canada notice concerns Newmar. Issue: On certain motorhomes, a problem with the steering gear could cause pressure to build within the system. If this happens, there could be a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to an authorized Shyft Group repair facility to replace the steering gear. Published 2024-02-21.
