An official Health Canada notice concerns Lion électrique. Issue: On certain trucks, there may be a problem with the steering gearbox. As a result, the connections to the gearbox could be damaged. The bolts on the connections could also loosen and break. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lion Électrique advises that if you detect any steering instability or an inconsistent feel when moving the steering wheel, you should stop using the vehicle and contact the company as soon as possible. Lion Électrique will contact owners and arrange for a service team to replace the miter gears in the steering box. Published 2023-05-04.
