An official Health Canada notice concerns Hyundai. Issue: on certain vehicles, a software problem with the front camera could cause the forward collision avoidance (FCA) system to apply the vehicle's brakes suddenly. Note: for the tucson model, this recall affects gas, hybrid (hev) and plug-in hybrid (phev) models. Safety risk: a vehicle that brakes suddenly when there's no risk of a collision could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the front camera software. Published 2026-06-19.
