Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Heartland. Issue: The compliance label on certain RV trailers lists incorrect information. The label incorrectly lists the tires as ST235/80R16G with a recommended tire pressure of 750 kPa (110 psi). The label should instead list the tire size as ST255/85R16E, and the recommended tire pressure as 550 kPa (80 psi). This information could lead you to install the wrong tires on the trailer or to overinflate the tires. Safety Risk: Using a trailer with the wrong sized tires could result in a tire failure. Additionally, tires that are overinflated could cause poor towing/driving performance. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Heartland RV will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install the label, you can contact a Heartland RV dealer to have it installed free of change. Published 2023-06-16.
