An official Health Canada notice concerns Ford. Issue: on certain vehicles, the wiring for the sun visors may not have been manufactured and/or installed properly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety risk: a short circuit or electrical arcing can create the risk of a fire or injury. Corrective actions: ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the sun visor wiring harness.
