An official Health Canada notice concerns Ford. Issue: on certain vehicles, one or more bolts that secure electrical connections in the high voltage battery may be missing a washer. As a result, the bus bar could loosen and cause electrical arcing (sparks) and/or a loss of power to the wheels. Note: this recall also affects certain incomplete vehicles. Safety risk: electrical arcing can create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the bus bar for missing washers. If any washers are missing, the bus bar will be replaced. Published 2026-02-10.
