An official ACCC notice concerns Heat Beads® Barbecue Starter (Asbestos). Australian Char has been advised that the Chrysotile Asbestos in this case is contained and non-friable (i.e. When dry, cannot be crumbled, pulverised or reduced to powder by hand pressure). The potential for airborne fibres during normal usage is minimal. Published 2010-03-26.
