An official NHTSA notice concerns Yamaha - Engine case may leak oil onto rear tire. Oil on the rear tire may cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash. Published 2021-10-15.
What to do now
Owners are advised to not ride their motorcycles until they are repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the engine, as necessary, free of charge.
