An official NHTSA notice concerns Toyota - Seat belt assembly malfunction. A seat belt assembly that extends further than intended may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Published 2022-11-10.
What to do now
Dealers will inspect the front seat belt assembly and replace the assembly, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed january 9, 2024. Owners may contact toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 22th01/22lh01.
