An official NHTSA notice concerns Tiffin Motorhomes - Incorrect size and installation of sumo springs. The incorrectly-sized rear springs may buckle from over-compression. Incorrectly installed front springs may potentially cause damage to the front axle. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash. Published 2023-02-20.
What to do now
Dealers will inspect and replace the rear sumo springs and relocate the front springs, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed april 21, 2023. Owners may contact tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is tif-128.
