An official NHTSA notice concerns Tiffin Motorhomes - Improperly secured battery may cause fire. Battery terminals that contact the steel hold-down bar can cause electrical arcing and increase the risk of a fire. Published 2024-02-01.
What to do now
Dealers will install a new battery hold-down bar and angle brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed march 29, 2024. Owners may contact tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is tif-137.
