An official NHTSA notice concerns Ducati North - Side stand screw may loosen and cause bike to fall. If the lower stand place screw becomes loose it can cause the bike to fall, or the engine to stall, increasing the risk of injury or a crash. Published 2016-10-12.
What to do now
Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side stand pivot and side stand plate fastening screw, free of charge. The recall began november 7, 2016. Owners may contact ducati customer service at 1-800-231-6696. Ducati's number for this recall is rcl-16-003(b).
