An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Zero Tower Safety Harness. An assembly error occurred with the shoulder strap adjustment buckle, which poses a significant risk, as it may cause premature wear of the webbing on the shoulder strap, compromising user safety in the event of a fall or loss of control during work positioning, thereby increasing the risk of serious injury. Published 2024-04-15.
What to do now
For immediate safety, discontinue use and check the product labelling for the manufacture date - if the harness falls within the manufacturing period of October 2022 to February 2024, please return the product to either the place of purchase or directly to ZERO Height Safety at 16 Waimakariri Park Drive, Kainga, Christchurch 8083. Zero Height Safety will inspect the affected product and repair or replace it at no cost.
