An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Zenith Taps- ChillTap Extra 60 (Residential), ChillTap Extra 140 (Commercial). A small number of units have taps which have been affected by a manufacturing defect. Water drawn through these affected taps may contain higher levels of cadmium than the maximum acceptable value for New Zealand. Prolonged exposure to cadmium is linked to serious adverse health effects. Published 2025-10-01.
