An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns The Laundress Laundry and Household Cleaning Products. The recalled products may contain bacteria, including Burkholderia cepacia complex, Klebsiella aerogenes and Pseudomonas species which can cause significant infection or illness that could require medical treatment, especially in people with, weakened immune systems, external medical devices and who have underlying lung conditions. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, or through the eyes or a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria. Published 2023-01-05.
