An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Suunto Wireless Diving Tank Pressure Transmitters and Tank Pods. Due to internal corrosion, pressurised air may enter the affected transmitters and cause their plastic housing to burst. If the plastic housing bursts it may cause an injury. Published 2017-07-24.

What to do now

Stop using and contact your nearest authorised Suunto service centre or dealer for a free inspection. Any affected transmitters will be upgraded and, where necessary, replaced free of charge.
