An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Seed Lights - 240 LED Warm White. The insulation sleeve at the junction of the power cable to the lighting string may be compromised by the heat caused from resistance, which may cause melting and smouldering at this point. As this product isn’t of a standard we expect and product safety may therefore be an issue, we are erring on the side of caution and recalling this stock from the market. Published 2018-11-07.
What to do now
If product was purchased after September 2018, stop using this product and return it to your closest Farmers store; or contact the Farmers call centre (0800 327 637) as soon as possible to arrange for the return of the product.
