An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns HEAT BOSS Workshop Tripod Electric Infrared Heater 2kw sold via TopmaQ. Hitchon International Ltd Trading as TopmaQ is recalling the HEAT BOSS Workshop Tripod Electric Infrared Heater 2kw because it may be unstable and be able to tip over. The heater stand does not comply with tip-over tests under AS/NZS 60335.2.30 The Supplier Declaration of Conformity number ‘HEEL1150’ is not recognised because: It does not reference an appropriate standard required by Regulation 80 of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010. It does not reference an approval required by Regulation 84 or 85 of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010. The test report ‘DQ2200004101’ is not recognised because: The test report is not accredited as required by Regulation 81 (2) of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010. It does not reference an appropriate standard required by Regulation 80 of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010. It does not cover the item being audited. The heater's construction differs from the construction offered for sale. It does not cover a heater being supplied with a stand. Failed to provide an Approval Certificate to WorkSafe – Energy Safety. Published 2026-07-22.

Stop using the heater Immediately and return it to TopmaQ (at TopmaQ’s cost) for a refund.
