An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Homebrand Bleach 2L. The bottle can develop small pin sized holes along the seam near the bottom of the bottle which may cause a slow leak. If the bottle leaks, users and bystanders could be exposed to the bleach without realising it. Bleach is poisonous. Published 2015-04-29.

What to do now

Wearing gloves, empty the bottle by pouring the bleach down the sink with plenty of running water. Rinse the bottle and wipe down any affected areas with a damp white cloth. Return the empty bottle and or receipt to any Countdown, SuperValue or Fresh Choice store for a full refund.
