An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Grundfos UNILIFT 1-phase pump (AP12, AP35, AP50). Under a number of circumstances the outside surface of the pumps may pose a risk of electric shock during operation. Published 2018-04-11.

What to do now

If you have one of the identified products, contact Grundfos for an inspection and rework. Avoid using the pump in mobile applications until it has been reworked, Pumps already installed in fixed installations are assessed safe for continuous fixed use. If you are in doubt about your installation, do not touch the pump or connected system.
