An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Collegiate NZ Horse Riding Saddles. Update to this recall: two additional models are affected - Bicton and Hartpury There is suspected variation in girth point attachment to the tree. The risk is that the girth could become adrift while riding a horse. This recall affects models purchased since January 2018. Published 2018-11-26.
What to do now
For Bicton and Hartpury models - Please return to store of purchase for a full refund. For other affected models - Stop riding in the saddle immediately and contact the store that you purchased the saddle from to arrange an inspection.
