An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns Bosch Freestanding Gas/Electric Cooker 60cm. Please recheck due to updates: Batch numbers 8608 – 8900 now also affected. Under certain circumstances, the adaptor between the gas supply and the appliance may crack causing a potential gas leak. Leaking gas may cause an explosion. Published 2017-05-09.

What to do now

Immediately check the appliance rating plate for the Model Number (E-Nr) and Batch Number (FD). You can check if your cooker is affected using the website below. If the appliance is affected or if there is uncertainty, immediately shut off the gas supply to the appliance and stop use of the gas cooker. The electric oven may be used safely provided the gas supply to the appliance has been shut off.” Notify BSH Home Appliances Ltd via the contact information below. Please provide the address of where the appliance is located, the appliance details and your contact details, so that arrangements can be made for an engineer to visit and complete the free in-home repair.
