An official Product Safety NZ notice concerns ‘Auto-set Wedge’ mounting bracket. The upper mounting bolts used on the Auto-Set Wedge bracket may contact the fuel tank, potentially damaging the tank and leading to a fuel leak. A fuel leak increases the risk of fire, which could result in injury and damage to property. Published 2020-05-27.

What to do now

Stop using the vessels and contact your Malibu Boats dealer to arrange to have the bracket mounting hardware replaced. Malibu boats has contacted all owners directly.
