An official Health Canada notice concerns Terex. Issue: On a small number of aerial devices, the turntable bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could loosen and fail. If this happens, the boom could fall. Safety Risk: A boom that falls could create a risk of injury for the operator and people nearby. Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the turntable bolts. Terex advises you to perform a daily inspection of the bolts and not to use the aerial device if the bolts are loose. Published 2024-02-02.
