An official Health Canada notice concerns Ski-doo - Bombardier recreational products. On certain snowmobiles, due to possible oil contamination of the drive pulley tapers during the assembly process, the drive pulley governor cup tapers may start to slip and lead to a bolt breakage. This could cause debris to come out of the engine compartment at high speed, causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will clean the drive upper sheave and governor cup tapers, then install a new drive pulley bolt and conical spring washer. Published 2011-02-25.
