An official Health Canada notice concerns Segway technology co., ltd.. Issue: On certain ATVs, the connector for the electric power steering (EPS) may not be fully sealed. As a result, the terminals in the connector could corrode and cause a loss of power steering assist while driving. If this happens, there would be a sudden increase in steering effort. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist may result in a sudden increase in steering effort that could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Segway Technology Co. Ltd. Will notify owners by mail and/or email and instruct you to take your ATV to a dealership to replace the EPS connector. Published 2024-12-02.
