High riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Saab - General motors. On certain vehicles, the driver’s door module could experience electrical faults resulting a loss of switch function, erratic switch behaviour (such as power windows lowering and/or raising without driver input) or an electrical short circuit, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire. These issues could occur even when the ignition key is removed and could increase the risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver’s door module part number and replace if necessary. In the interim, owners should park their vehicle outdoors. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 2012-282 and 2013-210. Vehicles that were inspected and/or repaired under the previous recalls will require re-inspection and/or repair. Published 2014-07-09.
