An official Health Canada notice concerns Rivian. Issue: On certain vehicles, the backup lamps may not be visible from some viewing angles. As a result, the backup lamps don't meet the requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: Backup lamps that aren't visible could cause a person not to recognize that the vehicle is backing and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Rivian will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a Rivian service center to repair or replace the backup lamps. Published 2023-04-13.
