Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Orion. On certain buses equipped with a Recaro driver seat, the reverse mounted automatic locking retractors may not operate properly due to interference with the tether bar. This could prevent the driver’s seat belt locking pawl from functioning as intended, which could prevent the driver from being properly restrained. This could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will reorient the seat belt retractor and tether bar mounting to a standard configuration. The tether bar will also be shifted on the suspension by 50mm. Published 2015-04-13.
