An official Health Canada notice concerns Micro bird. Issue: on certain electric school buses, the power steering pump could fail when starting the vehicle or while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power steering assist. Safety risk: a loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: micro bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to update the power steering pump software. Published 2026-01-08.
