An official Health Canada notice concerns Mack. Issue: on certain trucks, the connector(s) for the rear brake modulator(s) may not have proper wiring protection. As a result, the rear brake modulator(s) could short circuit and cause a loss of antilock braking system (abs) and electronic stability control (esc). Safety risk: a loss of abs and esc could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear brake modulator(s). The dealer will also install a cover on the connector(s). Published 2026-04-29.
