An official Health Canada notice concerns Ic Bus - International motors. Issue: on certain school buses, the brake lines may not be secured correctly. As a result, the brake lines could become damaged by contact with the steering shaft. This could lead to a brake fluid leak and cause reduced braking. Safety risk: reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: international motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to replace the brake line retainer. The dealer will also inspect the brake lines for damage and replace them, if necessary. Published 2026-03-05.
