Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Genie industries. On certain trailer mounted, articulating boom supported, aerial work platforms, the material used in the manufacturing of some platform support components may not meet the Manufacturer's specifications. The use of this non-compliant material could cause cracking in the supporting structure, and ultimately result in the platform falling. This issue could lead to property damage, personal injury or death if the TZ boom is being used to elevate an operator with the machine in a stationary position at a job site. Correction: Dealers will install an update kit. Published 2011-07-22.
